I’m a digital-savvy wordsmith with five-plus years of professional experience writing revenue-generating commerce content, how-to articles, business features, and compelling news copy. Reporting areas of expertise include design, sustainability, lifestyle, and food and beverage.
Most recently, as a commerce editor at Domino and Saveur, I became well-versed in SEO best practices, hands-on testing, and combing through reviews to write in-depth buyer's guides (mainly about home-related products like pillows, beer glasses, and sleeper sofas). Scouring the internet to find the very best deals of the week has become second nature, and I love talking with designers about reno tips and tricks, collection launches, and the latest interior trends.
At Domino, I also spearheaded a monthly “Cool Kids” column, best-selling product roundups, Amazon spotlights, and all sorts of gift guides (we're talking about everything from last-minute Mother's Day ideas to under-$25 finds) to hit short- and long-term revenue goals.
These shopping writing chops come paired with a three-year stint at Floor Covering Weekly—a trade publication owned by Hearst—where I learned the ins and outs of hardwood, rugs, carpet, tile, and vinyl. During this time, I regularly traveled to conferences and expos, profiled CEOs, and covered breaking news events. On top of juggling multiple article deadlines, I simultaneously managed the publication's social channels and single-handedly grew its Instagram account from a little over a thousand followers to 5,000+ in a few months.
My career began by working at non-profit organizations such as the Smithsonian Institution (specifically the National Air and Space Museum) and the U.S. Green Building Council, speaking to a general marketing and communications background. I also briefly worked as an account coordinator for a PR agency. Plus, by maintaining a broad skill set in photography and video, I've launched a successful side hustle to boot.

After a short stint in the sciences at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, I did a 180, graduating from Brockport with a bachelor’s degree in English and minor in Business Administration. I then went on to earn a master’s degree in Magazine, Newspaper, and Online Journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
